Should a groom rent or buy a Tuxedo

Tuxedo rental Appomattox Va - Research shows that purchasing a tux will prove more cost-effective than renting one after about two uses: That means that if you go to at least one other formal event and wear your tuxedo, you'll have made the purchase worth your while (of course, this all depends on the cost of your tux!)

Wedding attire for groomsmen can be expensive, whichever route you go, and both renting a tuxedo and buying a tuxedo come with pros and cons.

Can the groom wear a tuxedo and the groomsmen wear suits

Men's Suits Appomattox Va - Traditionally, the groomsmen wear attire that's the same as or similar to that of the groom, but it's up to you. Even if you aren't planning for all the men in your wedding party to wear the exact same suit or tux, it's important that their outfits match in style and feel with yours.

Do guys wear suits or tuxedos to weddings

This day belongs to you and your wife-to-be and the two of you can dress for it however you want. But the truth is, you can wear a nice suit to a wedding and feel very dapper and dressed up, but so can everyone else in attendance. Besides, you can wear that same suit to work and feel very well put together any other day of the year. For your wedding, you’ll want to wear something that sets yourself and this day apart from the rest. That’s where a tuxedo comes in.

The point of dressing up for your wedding isn’t simply to look your best. That’s a big part of it, but it’s also to commemorate your marriage in an ensemble that’s designed for that very purpose. Your wedding day is a special day and it deserves a special dress code.

A suit says that you’re a very well put together, competent, dashing, and productive member of society. That’s why they’re great for the work place and less formal social functions. But a tuxedo says more than that. A tuxedo says “I have come to share this moment with you. I would look out of place anywhere but here. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.”

Not to mention that, when done correctly, you’ll never look better than you do in a well made, nicely fit tuxedo.

How long does it take for a tuxedo rental

It will only take 15 to 20 minutes to be properly fitted or sized for a tuxedo. In order to give the proper attention to our fittings, we do suggest that whole wedding parties not come in at one time. One or two at a time is best.

We suggest you make arrangements two or more months before the wedding date. Some prefer to book their wedding six months or more ahead of time. You definitely want to allow plenty of time for all of the men and boys in your wedding party to come in at their convenience.

It is best to allow 15 to 20 minutes of pick up time, so that you can at least try on the coat, pants, and shoes. This way we are assured that every tuxedo leaving our store fits properly.

How much does it cost for a tuxedo rental

The average cost to rent a tux is $196. However, some designer tuxedo rentals can cost between $400 and $500 to rent. Most tuxedo rental packages include the coat, pants, shirt, vest, neckwear, shoes and stud and cufflink set.

Look for coupons online. Many chain tuxedo rental stores will offer a groom’s rental for free if all other wedding party members rent from them. Budget for any accessories or attire not included in your tuxedo rental.

You should contact the tuxedo rental store as soon as you know you’ll need a tuxedo, and lists the minimum time required for rental turnaround as seven days for an individual and 14 days for a group. They will charge a $20 rush fee if given less time.

Consider their busy season. Prom season picks up in March and April, and June and July are popular months for a wedding. They recommend booking your wedding party and selecting the tuxedo styles at least two months before the wedding date.

How does a tuxedo fit

The Collar
The collar should lay flat on the back and sides of the neck without any gaps or bulges.

The Jacket
The bottom hem of the jacket should cover the butt and the vent shouldn't pull open. (That means it's too tight.)

The Hem
Pants should break across the top of the laces.

The Shoulders
The jacket should hug the shoulders perfectly. If shoulder pads extend too far over the shoulders, the jacket is too big.

The Sleeve
The jacket sleeve should be hemmed at the wrist bone, allowing a half an inch of shirt to show past it.

The Pants
Flat-front pants are generally more sliming than their pleated counterpart-less fabric means a flatter looking midsection.

A pair of colorful socks is an unexpected way to pull in some personality without making a spectacle.
